view as web pdf “Is Anything Too Hard For The Lord?”

The angel of the Lord had promised a child to Abraham and Sarah in their old age. According to nature’s laws, it was impossible for these elderly people to have a son. But there is never anything too hard for the Lord – in due time Isaac was born.

This promise is also for our blessing and comfort today. No matter how overpowering our mountains of trouble and suffering may be, God can remove them in a moment. But if He sees they would work to our advantage OR His purpose, He will not lift these burdens, reminding us as He did Paul: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

“No,” is sometimes the best answer to our prayers, and as we mature in the Truth we will be able to see that indeed “all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

God made the mighty universe, The holy cherubim, Each marvel in the earth and sky, What is too hard for Him?

And yet He loves each child of His, And if we watch and pray He will perform great things for us Each hour of every day.
