he holy Bible is the most read book in
the world, and perhaps the oldest.
Written by God’s prophets inspired by the
holy spirit, it took forty of God’s prophets over
a span of more than a thousand years to be
completed. From Genesis to Revelation, the
Bible is a book worth reading.
When we were in High School, those in Chris-
tian Union Clubs had a tradition of going to the
homes of members during weekends, for
fellowship. We found that in one house where
we gathered and there was no Bible, we used
to say together in a loud voice, “What a house
without a Bible!”
Righteousness is a gift of God and is found in
Psalms 24:5 and Philippians 3:9. God is a loving
Father, which is why He gave us a second
chance of living, after sin entered the world
through Adam and Eve. God wants us to repent
(John 3:16).
Jesus Christ shared our nature (Romans 8:3;
Galatians 4:4). Although he had no human

father, he died to ensure forgiveness for our
sins. He will return to establish God’s kingdom
on earth and to rule assisted by the righteous
after judgement.

The Bible is at once the simplest and
yet most profound book ever written.
This is true of the Inspired Original it-
self, and in some respect also of its
manifold translations. Its great funda-
mental truths are so apparent on the
surface that the worst MS in existence
does not alter materially one article of
faith, or one moral precept.
