To Be In God’s Kingdom

Concerning God, there are two alternatives a person can take: to be good, or to disobey Him. Alas, we mostly choose wrong, (James 4:1-5). God wants us to submit ourselves to Him without fights and quarrels which come from our desires battling in us bringing killing and adulteries. If this happens we are enemies of God. 1 Peter 2:1-3 and 1 Peter 4:3-6 advise us that we should stay away from malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, slander of every kind, lust, orgies, carousing, abusing and detestable idolatry.

Colossians witnesses our sins as anger, rage, filthy language from our lips, and we must put on the new self (3:2-10). Paul advises the Corinthians not to be found gossiping but to copy Paul as he humbled himself before God and man, so that they also should humble themselves. Mark 7:20-23 tells us what sin is. Let us learn the lessons of Israel and come out of Egypt, travel in the wilderness, cross the river Jordan and dwell in the promised land faithfully. We can aim for perfection, we can all try to be of one mind – if we do then the Lord of love and peace will be with us.
