Why Not Try Prayer and Praise? (James 5:13)

When you have a need in life you turn to someone for assistance. It may be that you seek the services of some suitably qualified professional person or you may look to a trusted friend for advice. Whoever it is, you turn to them believing that they may be able to help you. Whatever the outcome you are invariably grateful to them for the assistance they were able to offer and, naturally, you express your gratitude to them.

When you strike a problem in life, in the midst of your anxiety do not forget to take your need to the one who so graciously offers you His friendship and who has invited all who are burdened to come to Him. Seek the comfort and solace of the Lord who cares for you and who understands your needs.

But do not let the matter rest there! Give thanks to God for the assurance that He cares for you and that His hand is upon you guiding you through the maze of life’s problems and leading you out of moments of darkness.
