The Righteousness of God

Anyone who clearly understands the Bible’s message and obeys its command to be baptized into Christ has, in the mercy of God, the hope of eternal life upon this earth when Jesus, returns. This is provided we, in this present life of probation, strive to live according to Bible teaching (2 Timothy 3:16).

We need to understand the purpose of the Bible, which teaches us of God’s plan of salvation through the gospel. Scripture tells us that very few will accept that gospel but that it is high time for those called to spread the gospel to every living creature. For there is one God and none other God but He. We should worship Him in spirit, and love Him with all the heart, understanding, soul and strength.

God has many attributes and capabilities which are beyond our comprehension. The scriptures describe God in the form of man. Our part in the wilderness journey is for faith and truth so that we walk in the footsteps of Jesus. We must attain spiritual attributes, remembering that God is just and righteous: His work is perfect: He is a God of truth and without iniquity. He is to be worshipped through obedience and praise: “To obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:2).

The scriptures say that righteousness is the gift of God. “Lead me in thy truth and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation and on thee do I wait all day.” “Teach me thy way.” “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things ye ask shall be given unto thee” (Matthew 6:23).

“The righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets” (Romans 3:19-21). How can we be righteous? Only from God and His son, Jesus Christ. The scriptures say “To declare I say, his righteousness that he may be just and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus. Let him glory in the Lord.” “For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth” (Psalms 37:9,11,15-17). May God bless you all in sharing the truth.
