World Population

According to the United Nations the global population in 1950 was 2,519,470,000 and it is now 6,464,750,000. That is an average annual compound increase of 1.73%   Let us assume the growth rate from Adam and Eve was the same, that’s compound interest at 1.73% on 2 for 6000 years.  Who will give me an answer and the possible reason for the difference between the answer and the current world population?
